It all started when...
Mhand & Shiraz, first met in Taghazout way back in 2014.
Shiraz, originally a DOP camera woman based in London, made a move with Matilda (Shiraz's then 6-year-old daughter) to start Amayour with Mhand, a surf instructor with over ten years of experience teaching along The Atlantic coast before setting up Amayour.
Living the surfing and yoga dream life. Since then they have gotten married and added to the family with baby Nora. Dylan, Shiraz’s oldest son has since joined the team as a social host.
We got the name from Amayour from M'hand's nickname which means full moon in berber. M’hand being a real local from the wild and stunning beaches of Tamri. He knows this coastline like no other.
Starting Amayour Surf in October 2015, we have been growing this little project ever since; from little seeds, big trees grow. With not much more than a vision, a lot of hard work and dedication, and a passion for living our surf and yoga lifestyles on the coast, we started our project from the ground up with nothing more than a couple of months’ rent.
Amayour Surf & Yoga is top-rated on Tripadvisor in the Taghazout. We now have our beautiful hostel, our yoga retreat house and our surf boutique shop.
Amayour is a surf camp that along with our wonderful team we are immensely proud to share with you.
